Born and raised in Germany, Viola Sator realized quickly, she was doomed to entertain – mostly herself.
At least that’s how it was in the beginning as it was just her, the mirror and her best friend the round brush. Occasionally her very patient grandmother would clap from the other room after experiments that involved Viola’s vocal chords.
It was a pretty normal childhood according to the standards of how entertainers grow up. Dysfunctional.
Viola used all the resources that were available to her back home, including attending Musical Theater School and attaining the title of “State Certified Actress” — yep, only real in Germany.
A couple of TV roles, a few musicals and one lead in a very questionable Horror feature film later, she knew it was time to widen her horizon and get out of stoic Germany.
Viola had heard about a magical place in a land far, far away where anything was possible.
A place that would support a life without a steady income or health insurance, yet not having her respectability diminished by other hard working adults.
A place that wouldn’t damn her for her constantly saying “Hold on, I gotta write that down.”
Los Angeles… Viola was home.
While enjoying life in the sun and playing the game of existence, Viola is doing her best to create opportunities to tell stories through different mediums like acting, writing and sketch comedy. She even tried stand-up.
Versatile, one could say. Or just utterly confused and overwhelmed by the buffet of the entertainment industry.
At the end of the day Viola knows one thing and one thing only. Humor simply must be the solution to anything.
Oh, and that writing about yourself in the third person is strange.
